Visiting Locust Grove
We want each visitor to Locust Grove to feel especially welcome and comfortable.
We know that people need the freedom to explore a new church without pressure, and at Locust Grove, nothing will ever be done to make a visitor appear conspicuous or out-of-place.
We hope that the information in these links to the right will help you know where to go and what to expect, and sincerely hope that you will join us this Sunday at Locust Grove.
Finding Your Way Around During Your First Visit
Our Worship Services are held on Sundays at 10:30 AM in the Sanctuary. Once you turn off County Lake Road into our parking lot, all our facilities will be in front of you. The Rock Chapel is to the right side of the front area and the Sanctuary is to the left.
Several parking spaces for visitors are reserved at the front of the parking lot near the Sanctuary, Chapel, and Main Office entrances. Please feel free to use them.
If your first visit is to our worship service, you can head directly to the front door of the Sanctuary. There is a covered area at the left of the Sanctuary that may be especially useful during inclement weather. When entering through these double doors, the front of the Sanctuary is to the immediate right.
A nursery is provided for infants-age 3 and Children’s Church is offered for ages 4-6. If you choose to keep your children in the sanctuary with you, please don’t worry about them being a distraction. We love children and want them to feel welcome in our services.
Finding A Life Group
We normally encourage everyone to join us for a Life Group at 9:15. If you are interested in participating in one, please let us know and we will assist you in finding a Life Group that fits the age group and interests of everyone in your family.
Our Worship Style
The preaching at Locust Grove is Christ-centered and authentic. We strive to be honest about human struggles, and joyful in our proclamation of God’s love and grace.
Our music aims to engage both the heart and the mind by combining high-quality musical performances and lyrics with theological depth. Our worship service is a blended service featuring contemporary songs and traditional hymns. The music emphasizes variety and tends to include both songs that are lively and up-tempo and some that are solemn and reflective. We believe you will be blessed and inspired to worship God by the musical presentation.
What To Wear
A broad range of clothing can be found among our attendees, from jeans and more casual clothes to suits. No one should feel uncomfortable attending worship because of the clothing in which they are comfortable worshiping.
We’d like to know you were here and how you found us. There are tear-off visitor cards in the worship bulletin or you can fill out our online visitor form and tell us more about you and your family.
