34 I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. (John 13:34-35)
13 You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom as an opportunity for self-indulgence; rather, serve one another humbly in love. (Galatians 5:13)
12 See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God.13 But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. (Hebrews 3:12-13)
Love. Serve. Encourage. These are the actions at the heart of the Christian mission, and should be a part of all of our interactions with one another. We live in a world dominated by rhetoric that is hateful, divisive, and totally opposed to the spirit of inclusive community that we strive for. #ChangetheConversation is about finding ways to build community and bring people closer together, always focused on love, service, and encouragement in the name of Christ.
Our mission is to spread this message of community, and to offer an alternative to the prevailing message of divisiveness in the culture. Let’s #ChangetheConversation together!
